A few weeks ago, and after a long period of radio silence from Marvel and a lot of drama on stage, the first teaser for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever debuted, and it really does feel like it was yesterday.
But you know how these things work — the hype machine will keep rolling, so here’s a brand new trailer for the film that Disney dropped earlier on Monday Here’s a new look at Namor, the Sub-Mariner, who is a mutant Atlantean and delivers now not so much a hero or a sandwich, with your first look at Ironheart, Tony Stark’s MIT student heir.
So if you’re one of those people who’s invested heavily in the MCU’s five-year plan, you’ll want to take a closer look at this. But if you’re the only person who loved the original Black Panther and wants a sequel, you can have a good time with this short picture.
Here’s a synopsis, which really should tell you absolutely everything you need to know if you’re totally committed to going into this thing without being completely blind. Also, why the hell did you click on this post then? We reveal even more casually! Anyway, read on:
“Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Suri (Leticia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Dora Milaje (Florence) in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ at Marvel Studios starring Kasumba), they fight to protect his nation from the invading nations of the world after the death of King T’Challa.
As the Wakandans try to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must unite with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) to forge a new path for the Kingdom of Wakanda.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11th, and if you’re the type of person who likes to plan your theater trip months in advance, you can go ahead and get your tickets through any of the ‘online you want to use.
In fact, we think they should bring back those old Fandango ads with paper bag dolls: can you imagine them trying to sell something like Don’t Worry Darling? It would be ridiculous
